One of the few actresses known to have died of AIDS, she was one of the more prolific stars of her time, she turned out a number of adult films (over 100) during the period from 1978 to 1987, making the transition from the bigger budget films of the 1970s to the early video boom. Born Lisa Trego in Moline, Illinois, her date of birth is listed as either February 12, 1958 or July 3, 1958, depending on the source. She began her adult film career in a number of less remembered films. Her career began to take off with a number of appearances in the “Swedish Erotica” film series, which caught the interest of adult film producers. A natural redhead, she had a flair for acting, and in the adult film industry, developed a reputation for her dramatic and often feverish intensity, due in part to her strong, brassy personality. By 1987, she had made her name in the adult film industry, and dropped out, to concentrate on dancing and making personal speaking appearances, where her speaking intensity made her a popular figure. In 1991, she was diagnosed with the AIDS virus, and forced to withdraw from public life, passing away on November 11, 1993.
